华侨大学华文学院（原集美华侨学生补习学校）座落在著名侨乡厦门市集美区，是华侨大学的二级学院。集美华侨学生补习学校是经国务院批准，并委托著名爱国华侨领袖陈嘉庚先生于1953年主持创办，专供华侨学生、华裔青年、外籍学生学习汉语文化知识的特殊学校。1997年，为适应海外华文教育迅速发展的需要，国务院侨办决定将集美侨校成建制并入华侨大学，与华侨大学对外汉语教学部、先修部合并，成立华侨大学华文学院。
　　华文学院以华文教育为主要方向，形成了多层次多形式的办学体系，教学与科研机构有华文系、预科部、培训部、高职部和华文教育研究所。华文系有对外汉语、华文教育和汉语言三个本科专业，同时还有初级、中级、高级非学历的汉语教育；对外汉语专业招收国内生，培养目标是海外华文师资；华文教育专业招收海外学生，培养目标是海外华文师资；汉语言专业招收华侨华人及外国人，传授汉语言知识及中华文化。预科部主要是针对华侨华人学生的预科先修教育。培训部负责开办短期汉语学习班、华文师资培训班、华裔学生夏（冬）令营。高职部开设高等职业教育，并逐渐向招收海外学生过度。
　　华文学院始终坚持 “为侨服务、传播中华文化”办学宗旨，秉承陈嘉庚先生倡导“诚毅”校训，为归侨子女、华裔青年、外籍学生，港、澳、台青年服务，以传播中华文化、发展海外华文教育、促进中外文化交流为己任。建校50多年来，取得了显著的办学成果，为世界30多个国家和地区培养毕业生3.2万多人，办学规模与办学水平在福建省居前列，是国务院侨办的华文教育基地之一、国家汉办支持周边国家对外汉语教学的重点学校；设有汉语水平（HSK）考点。学院教学生活设施齐全，有设备先进的专用教室，语音教室，多媒体教室，电脑教室和网络教室；有舒适的学生公寓，并有餐厅，商店，运动场等配套设施。
　　目前，有来印尼、柬埔寨、韩国、菲律宾、泰国、日本、缅甸、蒙古、澳大利亚、巴西、新西兰、波兰、几内亚、阿根廷、土耳其、美国及港、澳、台等23个国家及地区的1000多名境外生在学院接受各种形式的教育。

The Chinese Language and Culture College of Huaqiao University

　　 　Huaqiao University is a comprehensive university providing for the further study of overseas Chinese youths. It is located in Quanzhou city of Fujian province.The Chinese Language and Culture College of Huaqiao University (formerly the Jimei Continuation School for Overseas Students) is located in the Jimei Zone of Xiamen city, Fujian province. The college was one of the initial educational institutions that were given the authority to recruit students from abroad by the Chinese Education Department. It is part of the Chinese educational foundation authorized by the office of Overseas Chinese Affairs of the State Council, and it has set up a HSK testing center. The college has a fifty years history, during which it has engaged in Chinese education and imparting Chinese culture specially, The college has a first-class group Chinese teachers, complete teaching and accommodation.

Curriculum Setup and Entrance Regulation

1.The training students: There are three classes: elementary, intermediate and advanced. The college recruits overseas students who hold a junior high school or higher educational qualification, and students who have a proper foundation in Chinese language are qualified to enroll for classes throughout the year. Students may choose to study for half a year, a year or longer. After studying Chinese for one year, a student who holds a senior high school educational level or equivalent and has an excellent academic achievement can gain automatic enrollment in Huaqiao University, while a student who holds a junior high school educational level can continue to study in the preliminary class and can enroll for the entrance examination of Huaqiao University after graduation from the preliminary class.

2. The undergraduate of Chinese Language:
　 The college recruits overseas students who hold the senior high school and above educational level. Students who have a proper foundation in Chinese language are allowed to enroll for classes throughout the year. After the students have completed the curriculum, the college will issue the relevant undergraduate diploma and certificate. The students who have met the requirements for the bachelor's degree will have the bachelor's degree issued.

3. The preliminary class
　 The college recruits overseas students who have a proper foundation in Chinese. The college sets middle school courses and will assign students to the relevant classes in accordance with their course requirements.

The School Calendar and Application for Admission

1. The school calendar: The academic year is divided into two semesters. The first semester begins on 1st September and the second semester in mid February. You are welcome to enroll at any time.

2. Application for admission:

•  Fill out the application form and post it to the admission office of the college.

•  After having received the application form, the college will post both the JW202 form and the Notification of Admission to students after one month. Students may apply for a learning visa using the JW202 form and the Notification of Admission at your local Chinese Embassy. Students from southeast Asia can enroll in the college with a visitor's visa.

The college will assist students to apply for a foreign resident's permit and health examination after they enter China. All these formalities will be handled by the college at the student's expense.
