Introduction　　
　 The Chinese Language and Culture College of Huaqiao University(formerly the Jimei
Continuation School for Overseas Students , Jimei Chinese Language and Culture College)located in the Xiamen Special Economic Zone . The college has a history of fifty years , during which it has engaged in training overseas students in Chinese language . It was the one of the initial educational institutions that were given the authority to recruit students from abroad by the Chinese Education Department . It is one of the major bases for the Chinese education authorized by the office of Overseas Chinese Affairs of the State Council ,　one of the key schools supported by the
　 NOCFL(National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign language)in their Chinese teaching of
　 the Adjacent countries , and also the earliest HSK exam center set up in Fujian Province by
　 the NOCFL HSK Committee . ￣Training the Chinese Skills , Spreading the Chinese Culture￣ are
　 the main features of the college . The college has a group of first-class Chinese teachers　
　 who can speak standard mandarin and all of them have the Certificate of the capability in 　
　 TCFL(Senior Teaching Certificate of Chinese as a Foreign Language)￣ . The college has 　 　
　 complete facilities for teaching and accommodation , including modern classrooms , language
　 labs , multimedia classroom , Internet classrooms and electronic library . We have 　 　 　
　 comfortable dormitories for students and also have many facilities such as canteen ,

Students who have a proper foundation in Chinese language are qualified to enroll for these classes throughout the year, and they may choose to study for half a year, a year or even longer. The college offers optional courses such as Chinese painting, calligraphy, martial arts,music and dance.

People for Enrollment: overseas Chinese aboard, Chinese and foreign students

　 Undergraduate and Junior college education: Graduates of senior high, over seventeen years, with valid passport. Members of a refresher class: Graduates of junior high over fourteen years, with valid passport.

The other terms
1. The HSK sponsored by the National HSK Committee is held in May and December every year in the college. Consultations and registration are welcome.
2. General regulations for admission including application forms are available upon request

The School Calendar and Application for Admission
　
1. The school calendar: The academic year is clivided into two semesters. The first semester begins on 1st September and the second semester in mid February. You are Welcome to enroll at any time.
2. Application for admission:
1) Fill out the application form (attached); post it to the admission office of the college.
2) After having received the application form, the college will post both the JW202 form and the Notification of Admission to students in a month¨s time. Students may apply for a learning visa using the JW202 form and the Notification of Admission at the Chinese Embassy. Also the students can hold visitor¨s visa to enroll in the college.
3) The students from other university of China studies in our college must have the residents permit transference in the local public security bureau.
4) The college will assist the students to apply for a foreign resident¨s permit and health examination in one week after they enter China. All these formalities will be handled by the college at the student¨s expenses.
